Mission

The Physics Department at Universidad de La Frontera is an academic unit constituted by academics engaged with the formation of professionals and scientists at the graduate and postgraduate levels, the scientific research in basic and applied physics and the outreach within the regional, national and international communities. It contributes to the scientific, technological and cultural development, in a framework of social responsibility and respect to the diversity and to the environment.

Be a recognized department at the regional, national and international levels by its contributions to the scientific-technological development, the innovation and the excellence in the formation of professionals and scientists, as well as its commitment and its entailment with the environment.
